Example of arousing fear appeal "(the one we'll never see in Italy)

Avevo visto diverse volte questo spot durante il mio soggiorno in Irlanda e mi aveva lasciato davvero impressionato. La tecnica del fear arousing appeal ( qui qualche suggerimento riguardo all'argomento ) genera sempre forti contestazioni nel nostro Paese, e becomes more appealing to the need to avoid offending the susceptibilities of the audience. Susceptibility that - hypocritically - never when it is incurred on air programs ranging obscene and morally harmful, where bad language, insults, uncritical acceptance of socially questionable, are quietly tolerated and used for share and auditel.
In a country like ours, where the leading cause of death among young people is the one road accident, it seemed right to show both a different model of television (the spot rotates peacefully, at various times of day, on public television Rte Irish ) and another model of approach to social problems, quale quello della sicurezza stradale.
Lo spot - che fa parte di una campagna intitolata " The Faster the Speed, the Bigger the Mess " - è realizzato dall'agenzia Lyle Bailie International Limited di Belfast, ed è il frutto della collaborazione tra il Department of Environment dell'Irlanda del Nord e la Ireland's Road Safety Authority.
